Greg's Sports Pub & Grub in Kansas

"This was definitely a small town local inspiration. It was like walking into someones house while they were eating. Everyone looked up and I didn't know but it felt like everyone was somehow related. I stood by the waiter for what seemed like the longest time and she finally looked at me and I asked do I sit anywhere. This is how it started. Ordered the hamburger steak with tots. Was expecting it covered in brown gravy but it wasn't. Asked for onions they never made it. It was definitely big and tasty but I have never been served a hamburger steak without gravy. I was actually hoping for a good stiff cocktail drink but it seemed it was a beer bar family pub house. Whole groups of families were here with their kids. Not the pub I was thinking of. If I was hungry Id stop again and try something else."

"Great chicken fried steak, cut and breaded right in the kitchen. The house made fries were also solid, being crisp without being overdone. This is the best food you're going to find in some distance."

"Not much around Rush Center but if you're passing through during lunch or dinner Greg's is worth stopping for. Pay close attention to burger sizes, the single is 8oz and the double is 16oz either for a decent price!"

"You know when it's lunch time and all the locals come in, this IS THE PLACE! Had a double cheese burger with homemade fries. WoW, it really was one of the BEST burgers I have had! Hands down! The best. Will be back to try out the rest of the menu. They said the chicken fried steak is hand-made and will probably be next. But the burger may be hard to resist.."

"My family and I met up for a mini-family reunion for dinner before going out to the Rush County Fair. The place was slammed, but staff was doing a great job keeping everyone happy. I appreciated the un-conventional picnic table in the dining room, this allowed all of my family and I to sit together at one table. They had a great Ribeye steak special, and it was cooked perfectly! They have a mixture of tables, booths, and high-tops for families to sit together. (And a few barstools for solo guests. )"

"Ate here about a month ago. I spend most of my free time traveling around Kansas and I always try to find a good Chicken Fried Steak. The one here may cost a bit more than some places but it is well worth it. At the time of writing it is my favorite one I have had in the state. I can't wait to return to eat here again! Nice folks too!"
